the location was perfect for its proximity to amenities, 15minute interval local bus service , historic and tourist sites. Urban location yet refreshingly serene

The hotel room was spacious and comfy, with everything we needed. Lovely bed and furnishings. The restaurant was lovely and the food was amazing.

Tried calling reception for our bath robes as had non in the room on arrival, spent 25 mins on the phone until gave up and had to go down and ask. Other than this everything was amazing.

Really lovely interior design! Rooms spacious. Friendly staff. Very nice shower/bathroom. Lovely cafe downstairs within the building to get breakfast. Good location with some amenities around (Sainsbury’s, really nice bakery, bar/restaurant). Nice woodland walk around the development area.

That breakfast not included and have to pay quite a bit extra for the buffet or pay for the breakfast in cafe downstairs. Would be a nice touch to have a breakfast token or something included either to cover or go towards breakfast that could be used at the lovely cafe downstairs! £15 parking per night - we managed to park in front instead as it was the weekend so was free 6pm-10am and not much to add on another couple hours. Loud noise coming from vent in our room - not sure if the Aircon??

The staff were really friendly and professional. The restaurant was great, the food was really good. The room was a good size. Didn't really like the fact that the toilet door was transparent.

Our TV did not work in the room which was really disappointing. We contacted the main desk who advised us to switch it off at the mains and back on again but it made no difference so we weren't really able to watch TV.

Really comfortable stay. Lovely big bed and shower. Lots of nice bots and pieces (eg iron and ironing board, hair dryer, two sets of glasses, full coffee and tea making facilities).

No toilet brush! Challenges parking the car Ann’s £20 to use the hotel card park seemed a lot.

Staff was really arranging, hotel room and amenities are good looking, well maintained!

TV reception kept breaking every 10minutes Not a breakfast buffet - a la carte breakfast menu is fine though!

Room was fantastic and the hotel was lovely.

Breakfast was awful, served with a plastic knife and fork. Breakfast was served in cardboard boxes. Sausages were completely undercooked and very grizzly. Bacon was so over cooked it was like eating Rocks. Orange juice was served in cardboard cups. It’s a Four-star hotel I expect proper cutlery and plates. Half our orders was missing!!!!

It’s a nice, modern hotel with a good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with most of the essential modern conveniences. The new estate the hotel is on is very slick and contemporary, with a large Sainsbury’s conveniently located a short walk away. Checking in and out was easy and hassle free and the hotel’s location slightly out of the city centre wasn’t an issue; it’s a short taxi ride or a thirty-forty minute walk. It was actually quite nice to be away from the busy roads and cycle paths of the city, as driving around there can be a bit tricky.

It was mostly clean, but there were some parts of my room’s carpet that appeared to not have been hoovered. Also, it’s clearly a very new estate as my sat nav struggled to find the hotel. The overall location wasn’t too tricky to find, but the hotel itself could be labelled more clearly, along with the main entrance. Parts of the hotel did seem a little unfinished, particularly the stairwells, but perhaps it’s an intentional industrial aesthetic they’re going for? If this is the case, I’m not sure it was clear and it didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the decor/general aesthetic of the hotel. Not that it was unattractive or affected how much I enjoyed my stay, mind you. Aside from the hotel itself not being clearly signposted, neither was the hotel car park. Fortunately there was a space just outside the front of the hotel so I could go in (when I eventually found the main entrance!), check myself in and get directions from the staff, but I think it would be useful to clearly signpost the way round the back, and the way into the car park sort of looks like it belongs to a modern apartment complex rather than the hotel itself, as all of the buildings (some being the two hotels and others being modern flats) all looked quite similar, so I wasn’t entirely sure I was in the right place. The underground entrance to the car park is tucked away and needs signposting more, too. Food at the restaurant was a bit hit and miss. None of it was bad, and some was excellent, but other meals were a bit bland and not quite worth the price, which was a bit high for what you got. The waiting staff were very courteous and eager to help. Finally, the TV on my room lost signal quite frequently. Fortunately I didn’t plan on spending much time in my room watching TV, but had I been staying longer or if I were on a work retreat with a lot of time to kill, the poor TV signal would have been very annoying.
